Privacy Policy

Your pauses are yours.

pause.do is built on a simple principle: your browsing data is none of our business. Everything stays on your device.

Last updated: March 2026

🔒

Everything runs locally.

pause.do processes all browsing behaviour on your device. No data is sent to our servers, ever. Your browsing history, pause events, and Attention Map are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage.

🙅

No accounts. No cloud sync.

You don't need to sign up or log in to use pause.do. There is no user account system, no cloud sync, and no cross-device correlation. Your identity is never known to us.

📊

No analytics on your usage.

We do not track which sites you visit, how long you browse, or what pauses you take. The extension does not include any session-recording, keystroke logging, or behavioural analytics SDKs.

🧩

Third-party services.

The marketing site (pause.do) uses PostHog for anonymous, aggregate page-view analytics no personal identifiers are collected. The extension itself makes no third-party network requests.

📝

Changes to this policy.

If we ever change how data is handled we will update this page and bump the version date below. Material changes that affect privacy will also be communicated via the extension's update notes.
